I’m was unable make it out with the camera this weekend so I took the opportunity to look through some old photographs that I took in my local area, this reminded me of the benefits of shooting local.
My home town is Middlesbrough and is on the North East coast of England, this area has so many excellent locations within reach ranging from urban/ industrial scenery, bleak moorlands, bluebell woodland and wide open beaches. I’ve been guilty recently of looking further afield to areas such as the Scottish Highlands, Lake District and Northumberland without a second thought to my local area. Definitely worth staying local when I can as there is still plenty to explore and photograph.
