Landscape photography can become a very expensive activity with cameras, lenses, travel and accommodation all adding up. Recently I have made my most expensive photography related purchase to date, this purchase will hopefully solve some of these expensive problems and also enable me to explore more along with being on location for those early mornings and late night adventures.
Allow me to introduce Bertha my 2017 Renault Trafic. I purchased her as an empty van that was partially insulated with windows already added. Over the winter I gradually built her up with the help of good friends into a comfortable campervan perfect for my photography adventures. Currently the campervan consists of a gas cooker, sink, solar panel, two large batteries for charging camera batteries and laptop, a comfortable folding out bed and ample storage space for kit.
Betha has already been on quite a few adventures such as exploring the Lake District, Scotland and the West coast of Ireland. These trips have already shown the advantages of having a campervan will have on my photography. Hopefully I will be blogging these adventures and many more to come. Please keep an eye out for Bertha and feel free to say hi 🙂
